This folder holds materials related to S. 381 (110th Congress, 1st Session), the bill to create a commission to investigate and determine facts and circumstances related to the relocation, internment and deportation of Japanese Latin Americans during WWII. There is also information on S. 1639 (110th Congress, 1st Session), a bill related to establishing benchmarks for strengthening border control between Mexico and the United States, detaining of illegal aliens and alien processing for Z-visas and amendments to this bill. This folder also contains materials related to Japanese Latin Americans who were relocated, interned, or deported in the United States during WWII, and to the duties of the Commission on Wartime Relocation and Internment of Latin Americans of Japanese Descent.
