This folder contains various documents and statistics related to the Japanese Latin American (J.L.A.) Commission Bill. There are also materials related to S. 381 (110th Congress, 1st Session), the bill to create a Commission on the Wartime Relocation and Internment of J.L.A.s and intelligence reports related to Latin Americans of Japanese descent who were interned, relocated, traded, or deported. Also included are testimonies and documents listing measures to improve Peru's cooperation with the United States, including concerns with Japanese living in Peru and materials on the apprehension, treatment, and internment of Japanese nationals, along with a chronology of J.L.A. events.
