This folder also contains Navy statements regarding historical, legal, and national defense justification for military use of Kaho'olawe, status of the archaeological sites of island, a memo of navy intentions to continue using Kaho'olawe as a gunnery and bombing target despite Hawaiian protests, goat population, cost for cleanup $100 million, statement that island received more rounds of fire than Japan did in entire second world war, it's a dry island, goats get along ok, island is of limited economic use. Also included in this folder is a L.A. Times article about Navy on Defense in Battle for Kaho'olawe, Bombing Angers Activists.
