Description:This folder contains documents and papers related to United States Senate candidates for Hawaii in 1992. Some key pieces are template forms for surveys related to the candidates that tries to gauge what the people think and feel about the candidates. Other pieces include notes Rick Reed’s speech at Kailua Rotary which highlights his main point in his campaign where he exclaims that Hawaii’s biggest threat is huge spenders in Congress like Senator Inouye along with an agenda of what he did. There are important statistics like Inouye’s approval lead over Reed’s at 56% to 20% as well as how 60% of Inouye’s voters are very supportive compared to 40% of Reed’s and how Reed’s sexual misconducts against Inouye have petered out.
