Description

Darkness in Daytime (a political memoir by a non-political writer) is written by Vũ Thư Hiên after his 9 years’ incarceration without a hearing, in relation to the ‘case of the Revisionists against the Party’. Most notable in this memoir is the honest confession of its author about the ideals he has once pursued and then given up as, in his own terms, “an illusionary paradise on earth”.
