Zen Texts
Permanent URI for this community
The Zen texts collection offers access to rare archival documents, which are usually inaccessible in printed form. These documents collected from temple storehouses and libraries provide valuable insight into primary sources, mostly in the format of manuscripts, woodblock editions, and occasionally printed editions predating the twentieth century. Since they constitute vital tools for researchers and advanced students, the Department of Religion at UHM is dedicating time and resources to make this collection available to the public. Although nobody can claim ownership of these documents and their authors have deceased long ago, we would appreciate if you could acknowledge in your work the chain of causes and conditions that allowed you to gain access to such primary sources.
