This folder contains the Proxy Statement to stockholders concerning the merger between (OR&L) Oahu Railway and Land Company, and Hawaiian Dredging & Construction Co., Ltd. (HD&C), Dillingham Corporation notice of annual meeting of stockholders, the Dillingham Corporation Annual Report for 1961. It also contains a newspaper clipping of Ben N. Dung for Ben, a fold out pamphlet for Daniel K. Inouye for Senator, a list of names typed on Dan K. Inouye campaign committee stationery. There is a copy of a partial list of Ben Dillingham's Hawai'i supporters, a collection of reply postcards expressing favorable votes for Ben Dillingham; a full colored postcard with Ben Dillingham and family on front and message on back; various letters from Dr. L.Q. Pang arguing points made by politicians about medicare and the aged under social security; a sample ballot for the general election for the fourth representative district; a letter to the voters of Kona explaining different individual stances held by the following: Senator John F. Kennedy, Assistant to the Secretary of Agriculture, Dan Inouye, concerning Kona's agriculture and actions or promises from each, and those campaigning for Ben Dillingham. There is an HMSA Newsletter, two copies of Ben Dillingham's speech, and other various campaign speech materials.
