This folder contains a speech by Senator Daniel K. Inouye that was used for the 1994 Democratic Convention. In this speech, Inouye touches on the differences between 1954 and 1994 in various areas: education, women's rights, healthcare, etc. in Hawai'i compared with the continental U.S. Inouye also recounts all of the accomplishments and social change that has occurred in Hawai'i over the years and his pride in having been a part of those accomplishments.
