Description
Consists two reports, one of which pertains to the historical background of Kaʻū, and the other which covers moʻolelo of Kaʻu. The first report details information on early visistations to Kaʻu, Hawaiian historians on Kaʻu, Kaʻu after 1840, volcanic disturbances, population changes from 1778-1872, and dynamics of the people and land. The second report consists of information regarding early visitors to Kaʻū and stories of their interactions and observations of the area. Includes copied maps, photos, and other figures.
