This folder contains a speech given by Senator Daniel K. Inouye on the governor's tourism congress. In this speech Inouye talks about the value of tourism not only to Hawai'i but to the U.S. as a whole, and shares statistics related to the economics of tourism. Inouye also lists the ranking of national tourism offices in the U.S., or foreign countries who funded national tourism offices and legislation related to tourism in Hawai'i and the U.S. He also looks at how the government will reduce the national deficit, budget cuts, including expectations from the government in 1985 after the Presidential campaign.
