Memorandum regarding Territory of Hawaii Delegate to Congress Joseph Farrington's office inquiring about furloughs for men of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team (Regimental Combat Team) before returning to Hawaii. Also a memorandum on the disposition of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team and a ceremony upon its inactivation; a letter of thanks to Colonel Virgil Miller, 442nd Regimental Combat Team, for sending a letter and a booklet on the combat record of the 442nd; copy of the letter from Colonel Miller; a dispatch from Assistant Secretary of War John J. McCloy to Colonel William P. Scobey, former Executive to Mr. McCloy, about the continued need for the 442nd soldiers during occupation of Germany and Japan; and a letter from Colonel Scobey to Mr. McCloy sending a booklet on the 442nd Combat Team produced by the Information and Education Section, Mediterranean Theater of Operations United States Army (MTOUSA).
