Abstract

Description

This folder contains a speech given by Senator Daniel K. Inouye for the American Podiatric Medical Association regarding the importance of the field of podiatry, particularly in military medicine. The Senator shares his personal anecdotes of being in the military and the lack of podiatrists in the military and discusses the lack of knowledge about the lower extremities despite them being a crucial part of the human anatomy. He assures the American Podiatric Medical Association that, although not much attention is given to the field, they are a crucial part of delivering quality healthcare to those in the military, and urges them to spread knowledge of the field.
