Abstract
Description
This folder contains a script of a speech given by Senator Daniel K. Inouye stating the current status of bills in the Senate to address the discrimination against gays and lesbians in their lives, housing, employment, and the right to associate with whom they please. He states that there needs to be assurance that their rights will not be violated, but while there are bills in the works to address that, none have been reported out of the Senate Labor Committee because of the fear of administration opposition and filibuster.
