Abstract

Description

This folder contains a speech for the Travel and Tourism Government Affairs Council. In this speech Senator Inouye gives some messages on how the travel industry can be improved and how he feels that industry unity will be key to ensure that ill-advised proposal measures will not become law. Then he gives some statistics on the worldwide and nationwide economic impact of tourism, and the expenditures and tax revenue generated from tourism in 1983. Inouye also gives information on proposals that are related to travel and tourism, and mentions appropriation spending cuts and tax proposals.
