dc.description.abstractComputers now offer physicians a wide range of time-saving and cost-effective means of user-friendly access to medical literature. This article describes different methods of using the computer to find information on a subject, focusing on end-user services that provide access to MEDLINE. The different systems available and their respective advantages and disadvantages are described. Use of electronic bulletin boards, Internet and online publishing in medicine also are addressed.
