This folder contains a speech given by Senator Daniel K. Inouye for the Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A. 91st Annual Convention. In the speech he highlights the reason for the Israel to United States debt, which he emphasizes is because of necessary defense expenditures and the sharp increase in the cost of petroleum. He states that the United States should not view Israel as an impoverished and debt-filled country because they are rich in agricultural and science reserves. It is the U.S.'s responsibility to help them get out of debt; he proposes an amendment to achieve this.
