Abstract
Description
Letter from Colonel William P. Scobey, Executive to Assistant Secretary of War, to David Arata, a resident of Poston in response to Arata's letter, which is not included. Scobey states that while most applicants were accepted, he is sorry that Mr. Arata was rejected. Attached memos summarize the registration process at Colorado River (Poston) and offer statistics on the number of volunteers who applied vs were accepted, as well as anecdotes about different incidents in the registration process.
