Letter in reply to the Chairman, Friends of the American Way, stating that civilian agencies rather than the War Department have been entrusted to help solve problems arising from the return of evacuated Japanese Americans and their parents to their home communities. Attached is the letter from Mr. William Carr, Chairman, Friends of the American Way, to Assistant Secretary of War John J. McCloy asking for the War Department to assume responsibility to help the Japanese Americans to resume normal living.
