Abstract

Description

This folder contains a transcription of a modification of the "52 Assn." speech given by Senator Daniel K. Inouye for the 1985 Citizenship Institute at the Richardson School of Law regarding the success of the United States due to a strong democracy and upwards progress in civil and human rights. However, he highlights the negative contributions of the aircraft hijacking incident to immigration and explains the need for attention to the alarming immigrant hostage situations.
