Memorandum to Mr. McCloy with urgent matters related to the "Japanese problem" which should be handled. Discusses five areas: the War Department's organizing of a Japanese American combat team and a number of problems that have arisen in connection to opposition in the war relocation centers, poor recruitment, inconsistent policies, etc.; a change in boundary of the Western Defense Command; the Japanese American combat team in training at Camp Shelby; reinstitution of the selective service (draft) for Japanese American males; voluntary induction of Japanese females into the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps.
