Abstract
A team of librarians from Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) participated in the last cohort of the Association of College and Research Libraries initiative "Assessment in Action: Academic Libraries and Student Success." The HPU team focused on assessing writing courses offered through the Military Campus Programs. The study assessed the impact of library instruction delivered in both face-to-face and hybrid courses at military bases by using varied methods. The lessons learned by participating in the project reflect the unexpected flow of assessment projects – from designing outcomes, selecting measurement tools, analyzing data, and implementing changes.
