Abstract
STARTING WITH THIS ISSUE, THE RAPA NUl JOURNAL faces a new challenge. The main scientific papers are being peer reviewed. This is not a sudden idea from two new senior editors, but a topic that has been under discussion for some time by all the editors. This step is seen a a way to bolster scientific standards and strengthen the Journal as a forum for Pacific archaeology, anthropology and history.
