From the letter introducing the project by Reynolds Kingston: "We are presenting an outline of a testing programme to evaluate the power potential of HGP-A. With a prolonged discharge through the recommended twin cylinder silencer, the discharge characteristics of the well can be evaluated, along with a better understanding of recharge and reservoir mechanisms. If the well can be shown to maintain a steady state discharge then a further stage of evaluation using a wellhead separator would be recommended prior to any commercial exploitation."
