This folder contains a speech by Senator Daniel K. Inouye for commencement exercises. In this speech Inouye gives background information on his college graduation, and challenges graduates to future action and tells graduates the causes of the world's troubles. He talks about gaining life experiences, working for peace, the attitude one should carry when interacting with others, and being a citizen of the world. Inouye also addresses U.S. policies regarding foreign nations and the arms race, and reminds graduates that violence is not always necessary to accomplish business.
