Abstract
Description
Letter (12 pages) to Secretary of War Henry L. Stimson from Mr. Abe Oyamada, Heart Mountain Relocation Center, Wyoming, relating current conditions that, if left unchecked, would hamper the democracy of the country for which volunteers would fight for, such as calls to ban all persons of Japanese ancestry from the Pacific Coast, and calling for official actions regarding the future of persons of Japanese ancestry in light of the upcoming sacrifices of volunteers for armed service. Attached is a reply letter of acknowledgement to Mr. Oyamada from the Executive to the Assistant Secretary of War.
