Memo from Executive to Assistant Secretary of War William P. Scobey to Assistant Chief of Staff, G-1 noting that loyal Japanese Americans are now eligible for induction into the Army and requesting a list of job assignments for Japanse-American soldiers in the Service Commands as well as the results of a study about their induction in the Army. Attached is a seemingly unrelated memo from Lansdale to Scobey discussing 5 Japanese Americans from Poston who have been accepted for service.
