Abstract
Description
This folder contains a speech given by Senator Daniel K. Inouye before the Select Committee on Indian Affairs regarding S.1998. He talks about health in the Native Hawaiian population, and that while their health and numbers have steadily increased, the need to address prevalent health problems such as diabetes is high. Thus, he explains and advocates for the Report of The Secretary's Task Force on Black and Minority Health, which confirms the urgent status of diabetes in minority populations and explains that its provision would address the severe need for quality care for Native Americans.
