Letter in reply to Secretary of the Interior Ickes regarding his letter alleging discrimination in procedures affecting persons of Japanese ancestry and their employment on the West Coast. States there are two separate screening procedures that are not inconsistent nor discriminatory, and that individuals are disapproved for employment only for security reasons. Discusses the specifics of two named individuals (Masato Sera and Mack Masamao Yamaguchi) and why they were not approved for work in vital war industries.
