This folder contains a speech given by Senator Daniel K. Inouye on the 100th anniversary of Japanese immigration to Hawai'i. In this speech Inouye talks of the history and achievements of the Japanese immigrant laborers to Hawai'i and their descendants. Inouye also mentions his pride in being descendants of these laborers. Also included in this folder are summaries of printed material used to write this speech and information on life for Japanese immigrant laborers. There is also a preliminary calendar of events for the 100th anniversary of Japanese immigration to Hawai'i.
