This folder holds the Senate hearings before the Subcommittee on Department of Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies on education in the Pacific Basin area and on health issues. These hearings include statements made by various individuals on improving education in Hawai'i, and those who are proposing or asking for federal aid to support educational or health related programs. This folder also includes information on the history of the trust relationship between Hawai'i and the U.S., the role of Hawai'i's hospitals in the Pacific, problems with healthcare in the Pacific, health costs in the Pacific and health statistics.
