This folder contains a speech given by Senator Daniel K. Inouye honoring Japanese American patriotism and looking at the future of the Asian Pacific American Federal Foreign Affairs Council. In this speech, Senator Inouye recounts his family's move to Hawai'i, and the history of discriminative legislation and discriminatory actions against Japanese Americans in the U.S. He also talks about the bravery of the 442nd Regimental Combat Unit during WWII.
