First telegram emphasizing the desirability of a voluntary combat team (of Japanese Americans) over one by draft (involuntary induction), and second telegram about qualified doctors and dentists answering the registration questionnaire who may be interested in the combat team. Attached are two memoranda to Captain John M. Hall, Office of the Assistant Secretary of War from Lieutenant Bogard, providing a daily report of registrations at Manzanar Relocation Center and the number of applications for voluntary enlistment, for Feb. 15 and 16, 1943.
