Memorandum and report with statistics on the potential number of Nisei who might be available for military service who were evacuated by the Western Defense Command, with opinions on the number that might volunteer for service. Estimate provided is 10,200 potential Nisei recruits. Includes suggestions for a recruitment program, such as voluntary rather than compulsory, segregation of anti-American elements in relocation centers, and stimulating patriotism. The following item (Item 46) is an additional attachment to this one (Item 45).
