Letter from Assistant Secretary of War John J. McCloy to James Y. Sakamoto, the editor of the Japanese American Courier, who happens to be visually impaired. Mr. Sakamoto offers to volunteer to help in any capacity with the training of the 442nd, and recommends the creation of a support role for people who wouldn't otherwise qualify for combat duty.
