NOT OCRed. This folder contains the bio and a letter from Frank E. Midkiff, a trustee of Kamehameha Schools and Bishop Estate. In the letter Midkiff requests similar Congressional treatment of Native Hawaiians as Native Americans, discusses land tenure in Hawai'i, along with the various laws which had violated Hawaiian customs, considers what it would be like if Hawaiians had not been alienated from their lands, and looks at the rights of Hawaiians in comparison with Native American peoples. He also compares actions of land tenure and related law with the actions of other aboriginal peoples in the Pacific that have also experienced being in a trust relationship with the United States.
