dc.description.abstract Since traditional times, Hawaiian people have been caretakers and practitioners of information, using systems and protocols that are based in a Hawaiian worldview. Applications of those systems and protocols are seen in mele, moʻokūʻauhau, hoʻokele, mahiʻai, hula, and countless other practices. Today, Nā Hawaiʻi ʻImi Loa, a newly-formed professional organization, is striving to advance such systems and protocols as well as services and research of Hawaiian knowledge in the Library and Information Science profession. Join us as members of the NHIL ʻAha discuss NHIL's history, present state, and future objectives. en_US
