Description

This folder holds materials and news clippings regarding Hawaiian people's health, public welfare, medical care, crime, education, public housing, Native Hawaiian land disputes and land ownership in Hawai'i. This folder also holds health data on Native Hawaiians per island and recommendations for meeting the needs of Native Hawaiians. The history of Hawaiians being labeled as Native Americans is addressed, as is the impact that such labeling would have on Hawaiians.
