dc.description.abstract | Print manga sales in the United States reached an all-time high in 2020 according to a sales analysis by online retail trade magazine ICv2. While these sales were partially attributed to the pandemic, the double-edged sword of COVID-19 also affected the publishing industry in other ways, leading to many titles becoming temporarily out of stock while printers caught up with their production backlog. Luckily, manga fans can still find and discover new series at their local libraries! While the majority of über-popular manga and anime fandoms are shōnen titles full of battles and action scenes, there is a vast number of underrated titles that should not be missed! A variety of series will be covered with tween, teen, and adult appeal. Whether you are an experienced graphic novel selector or new to manga, this session is for you! | en_US |
