This folder contains a statement from U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye on the reorganization of the Hamakua Sugar Company to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Hawai'i. This statement also covers the importance of the Hamakua Sugar Company in providing thousands of jobs, and the impact on the Big Island if the sugar company does close.
