Description

This folder contains materials related to the creation of the Commission on the Wartime Relocation and Internment of Civilians Act, which reviewed the WWII relocation and internment of Japanese and Aleut American citizens and Japanese resident aliens. There is also a chronology of events from the bombing of Pearl Harbor until the passing of H.R. 4551, to appropriate funds for redress payments for Japanese Americans who were interned during WWII. There are also parts of a book related to Executive Order 9066 and redress appropriations for Japanese Americans who were interned during WWII and problems with funding the redress bill.
