Memo from George Miller to John J. McCloy and John M. Hall regarding a request from Frank Tanabe, a Japanese-American interned at Camp Savage. Mr. Tanabe explains that he was born in Japan because his mother had gone their to visit while pregnant with him, but returned shortly after his birth. He explains that he has been rejected multiple times for military or other service because of his "alien" status despite that he knows no other country as home. Miller recommends that the Army reject Mr. Tanabe once more.
