dc.description Letter to Assistant Secretary of War John J. McCloy from Howard Moise, Professor of Architecture, University of California, Berkeley, sending several newspaper clippings with views supportive of democratic treatment of Japanese Americans. Attached is a reply letter to Mr. Moise from Mr. McCloy thanking Mr. Moise for his correspondence; the earlier letter from Mr. Moise to Mr. McCloy expressing approval of the War Department policy towards loyal American citizens of Japanese ancestry with enclosed copies of a letter sent to General DeWitt, Western Defense Command, signed by 20 citizens of California and a letter sent to U.S. Senator Robert Reynolds by Mr. Moise, both of which relate to war relocation centers and treatment of loyal Japanese American citizens.
