This folder contains a speech by Senator Daniel K. Inouye on the budget of the United States, where he explains why budget deficits matter. In this speech Inouye addresses the budget deficit, explains the changes in the deficit over the years, and includes percentages of government spending. In this speech Inouye also criticizes President Reagan's leadership and looks at reasons why one should be wary of the economic deficit, even though an economic recovery is underway.
