This folder contains a statement by Senator Inouye given at the hearing before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation on S. 1350, the Natural Disaster Protection Act. He addresses the Committee's efforts to enhance the nation's response to natural disasters and says that the bill is urgently needed. He strongly suggests that the Natural Disaster Protection Act should provide the most extensive solution for better preparing our country for natural disasters.
