This folder contains briefing materials, executive orders and maps. Included is a memorandum of understanding between Governor George R. Ariyoshi representing the State of Hawai'i, and Vice Admiral S.I. Gravely, Jr., representing the United States Navy, stating common intent and objectives concerning Kaho'olawe, such as the elimination of all cloven-hoofed animals, a soil conservation program, and inventorying archaeological sites eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
