This folder contains a speech from the Senator titled "Hawaii and the Nation--The Next 25 Years Democratic Party Luau." This speech looks at the past 25 years of Hawai'i's history including voting, the economy, politics, business, industries, and education. On the topic of education, Inouye looks at the growth of educational opportunities provided by colleges and universities of Hawai'i, including growth in enrollment at these schools. He also looks at changes in Hawai'i's government, as well as changes in foreign relations of the U.S. and the Middle East, problems in Central America, tax cuts, and the nuclear arms race.
