Abstract
Description
This folder contains the October 1977 draft supplement to the final environmental impact statement (EIS) regarding the Kaho'olawe Island Target Complex. This draft supplement was created by the Navy to meet the requirements of the United States Court for the District of Hawai'i ruling. This document updates the final EIS that was created in 1972, looks deeper into the environmental impacts of the bombing of Kaho'olawe, and revises the previous 6-step plan to an 8-step plan. This document also looks at alternative sites to use as a target complex area, along with reasons certain islands or atolls are unsuitable for use, and includes a listing of the various weapons used on Kaho'olawe.
