Abstract

This item is the file level inventory for the manuscript collection. Materials in this collection must be requested using a manual request form, which is available at the Hawaiian & Pacific Collections reference desk. Manuscript materials are made available for use Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; items requested from this collection may not be immediately available for use, as they must be retrieved from the Pacific Collection's rare holdings area. The collection contains an brief introductory note, labelled on finding aid as Folder 1, French Nuclear Testing, which reads: "These materials concerning the French nuclear testing in French Polynesia were obtained through the efforts of Pat Sexton (formerly of the Library's Interlibrary Loan Dept.). They were donated to the Library on February 11, 1996 by Carl 'Imiloa Young of the Pasific Asia Council of Indigenous Peoples." The note is signed by Dr. Karen Peacock, who was then curator of the Library's Pacific Collection.
