1 poster : color ; 61 x 41 cm. Contains map of Ploesti, largest oil producing area in Axis Europe. Heavily defended it did not stop production until Aug. 1944 as Soviet Army approached. Superimposed by photograph of bombers. Poster is part of a series displayed on Memorial Day, 2004, at dedication of National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., showing compilation of cartography and imagery, now known collectively as geospatial intelligence.
