Letter to Colonel Harrison Gerhardt, Executive to the Assistant Secretary of War from Mr. William Carr, Pasadena, California expressing views on "race hatred" in America and segregation in the army. Attached is a letter from Assistant Secretary of War John J. McCloy to Mr. Carr thanking him for a leaflet entitled "United We Stand" from the Committee on American Principles and Fair Play which includes news clipping, quotations and a letter from U. S. Marine Pfc. Robert E. Borchers on Japanese Americans. Also attached is another note of thanks from Assistant Secretary of War John J. McCloy to Mr. Carr.
